CAIHS Monday Morning Message

Week of 02/07/22

Student of the Month

Congratulations to our January Student of the Month, Olivia Miranda! We had several students in the running this month: Eric Murphy, Raquel Alpizar-Oritz, Kaleb Saah, Xavier Segura, Jocelyn Lupold, Harmony Miller, Rose Rivera, Ella Stone, and Olivia. Olivia had many teachers reach out and speak on her behalf. Here are some of the things they said. Olivia is an excellent candidate! Olivia Miranda is my vote for this month's student of the month. She is a quiet soul, however, speaks loud in the volume of work ethic, dancing machine and she cares about her people. I appreciate how hard Olivia works and how she treats her peers each day. Way to go Olivia! Olivia Miranda has my vote. She is a great kid. We are so proud of all of our students that had so many ROCKs earned this month. Keep up the great work. Congratulations, Olivia on being crowned our January Student of the Month!

Urgency to Class

Parents and Students,

We are stressing the importance of getting to all assigned classes on time and not roaming the halls. Unfortunately, parents we are starting to see some of our students develop poor habits for getting to class on time. This includes all classes, including lunch and First Period. Over the next few weeks the administrative and behavioral team will be conducting multiple hall sweeps. If your student does not make it to class on time, and they do not have a pass, they will be assigned an after school detention. If they are in a second sweep they will be assigned a half day ISS, and if they are caught in a sweep a third time, they will receive a full day of ISS. Our goal is to have students in the classroom from the beginning of class until the end of class receiving instruction and being active in their education. You will be notified with an email and automated phone call detailing the consequences.
